Primary Function: Culture and distribution of five species of trout to Indian
Reservations in Arizona, New Mexico, and southern Colorado.
Habitat: Riparian habitat with surrounding ponderosa pine-oak
woodland.
Recreation and Education: Picnicking and fishing along the adjacent north
fork of the White River. A tribal fishing permit is required. Display room and
interpretive signs detail hatchery operation.

The Pinetop Fish Heath Center is co-located with the Alchesay Fish Hatchery.
Directions: 5 miles N of Whiteriver, co-located with the Alchesay National Fish Hatchery.
Primary Function: Provide fish health inspections and diagnostics to Federal, State, and commercial aquaculture facilities in the four State (Region 2) area.
Special Note: The Fish Health Center is equipped to diagnose virology, bacteriology, and parasitology of fishes.
