 Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore - Camping
The National Lakeshore, Indiana Dunes State Park, and commercial campgrounds offer camping. Dunewood Campground in the National Lakeshore has restrooms, showers, and 54 drive-in and 25 walk-in sites. There are no electrical hookups. All facilities and some campsites are accessible to the mobility-impaired.
Attractions & Services: Lake Michigan is located 1.5 miles north of the campground. Several beaches are within easy driving distance. The Dorothy Buell Memorial Visitor Center, with exhibits, orientation program, and bookstore is located two miles west of the campground at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Kemil Road. A gas station and convenience store are located 1/4 mile north of the campground at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Broadway. A South Shore Railroad station, with passenger service to Chicago and South Bend, is located on Broadway, 1/4 mile north of the campground.
