Beech Fork Lake
Small lake nestled in the hills of West Virginia with boating and camping opportunities, and solar energy information center. Located 7 miles S of Huntington, just off WV 152.
Bluestone Lake
Many artifacts remain from a large Indian town once located on project land. Located at Hinton on WV 3 and 20.
Burnsville Lake
Numerous recreation opportunities include excellent hunting. A historical complex with a Civil War battle site is part of this project which is easily accessible from 1-79 at the Burnsville exit.
East Lynn Lake
A region important for natural gas, oil and coal. Wooded hills of 600 feet rise gently around the lake. From Wayne, 12 miles SE on WV 37.
Gallipolis Lock & Dam
Completed in 1937 as part of the lock and dam system on the Ohio River from Pittsburgh, PA, to Cairo, IL. A major modernization is now underway. Located downstream from the mouth of the Kanawha River on WV 2, approximately 9 miles below Gallipolis, OH.
Hildebrand Lock & Dam
The project on the upper Monongahela River has a short pool that provides a scenic boat trip in both summer and fall, but no access by car. Located 6 miles S of Morgantown.
Jennings Randolph Lake
Situated in the scenic, rugged hills of the Maryland/West Virginia border. From Cumberland, MD, S on US 220 to US 50, W to WV 42, N to WV 46 E. Follow project signs.
London Lock & Dam
Provides a navigable channel to the head of navigation on the Kanawha River and principally serves the coal mines in that area. Located near Montgomery.
Marmet Lock & Dam
Provides a nine-foot navigable channel on the Kanawha River extending 15 miles to London Dam. Located at Belle, WV.
Morgantown Lock & Dam
Completed in 1950, this dam on the Monongahela River provides a nine-foot navigable channel to Hildebrand Lock & Dam. Located at Morgantown.
Opekiska Lock & Dam
Provides a pool that winds through the beautiful West Virginia mountains to Fairmont where the West Fork and Tygart Rivers join to form the Monongahela. Located off WV 73, 7 miles N of Fairmont.
Pike Island Lock & Dam
Provides a 30-mile pool on the Ohio River ideal for industry and recreation. Located on WV 2, 5 miles N of Wheeling.
RD Bailey Lake
Beautiful lake in rugged terrain with visitor center overlooking the lake and many recreational opportunities. Located near Justice, just off US 52.
Racine Lock & Dam
Provides a navigable pool extending 34 miles up the Ohio River to Belleville Locks and Dam. Take I-77 to Ripley, US 33 W to Letart.
Stonewall Jackson Lake
Accessibility and modern facilities combined with the scenic beauty of the area make Stonewall Jackson Lake extremely attractive to recreationists. The State Park and recreation areas may be reached via I-79 at Exit 96 (second Weston exit).
Summersville Lake
Noted for its spectacular cliffs and white water on the Gauley River. Near Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park, a Civil War battlefield. On WV 129 at Mt. Nebo, 3 miles W of US 19.
Sutton Lake
With 45 miles of shoreline, this lake attracts fishing and boating enthusiasts. Located in the wooded hills of central West Virginia, 1 mile E of Sutton.
Tygart Lake
The Tygart State Park supplements Corps facilities at this lake in the West Virginia mountains, 3 miles S of Grafton on County Rd. 9.
Winfield Lock & Dam
One of the essential navigation projects on the Kanawha River, used primarily for the shipment of coal and chemicals for the large industrial complex of Charleston. Recreation facilities are located in the Pool area
