Ball Mountain Lake
Winhall Brook Campground (seasonal) offers streamside campsites; modern rest rooms with hot showers; trailer dump station, and resident campground attendants. The river and 75-acre lake offer fishing; reservoir lands are open for hunting. From Brattleboro, N on VT 30 to Jamaica to dam. Campground is 5 miles N of dam, off VT 100.
North Hartland Lake
At the upper end of the reservoir, the Ottaquechee River flows through sheer-faced 165-foot-deep Quechee Gorge, one of the outstanding natural spectacles in the state. An overlook area and state-managed campground are nearby. A park with small beach offers swimming, picnicking, and boating at the 215 acre lake. From White River Junction, 5 miles S on US 5.
North Springfield Lake
The 100-acre lake and 65-acre Stoughton Pond offer excellent warm-water fishing (small boats only). A small park on Stoughton Pond has a beach and picnic area. Reservoir lands are open for hunting and snowmobiling. From Springfield, N on VT 106, follow signs to dam.
Townshend Lake
A 95-acre lake provides an attractive setting for the day-use area with swimming, picnicking, hiking, and boating. A historic covered bridge is located downstream. From Bratleboro, 18 miles N on VT 30.
Union Village Dam
A streamside environment with excellent fishing and hunting. Small day-use areas with picnicking facilities. Two scenic covered bridges nearby. From White River Junction, N on US 5, left on VT 132.
