Bear Creek Lake
Lake Fishing, boat launching facilities, camping picnicking, game fields and winter sports are available. Located just W of Denver near Morrison, on CO 8.

Chatfield Lake
This lake features a heron and marsh bird observatory and sailboat harbor. Horseback riding and bicycling are available. Snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice skating, ice boating, and cross-country skiing are popular during the winter months. The barrier-free design of the facilities provides convenient access for the handicapped. Located off I-25 directly S of Denver.

Cherry Creek Lake
Camping, picnicking, water skiing, a skeet range, model airplane airstrip, archery, rifle ranges, dog training areas, and a wildlife management section are a few of the amenities offered here. On the SE fringe of Denver.

John Martin Reservior
A portion of the Santa Fe Trail is preserved for visitor viewing. From Las Animas, 15 miles E on US 50 to Hasty, 2 miles S on county road 260.

Trinidad Lake
This lake impounds the Purgatoire River in south-central Colorado. It provides 4,500 acres of water for recreation and flood control. Located 3 miles W of I-25 and city of Trinidad on CO 12.
