Harrison Lake
Through wooded valley to largish lake.
Trailhead: Off U.S. Highway 2, about 6.5 miles east of West Glacier.
Distance: 11.9 miles
Level: Easy
Altitude change: 400 feet

Loneman Lookout
To unmanned fire lookout with (of course) commanding views.
Trailhead: Nyack Creek Ford, about 11 miles on Highway 2 from West Glacier
Distance: 6.5 miles
Level: Moderately strenuous
Altitude change: 3,900 feet

The Nyack-Coal Creek Loop
Through Nyack Wilderness Camping zone.
Trailhead: Nyack Creek ford
Distance: 6.5 miles
Level: Usually moderate, can be tough going after tree-blowdowns or when trail is obscured.
Altitude change: 3,900 feet

Lake Isabel
Isolated trail ending in breathtaking views of Lake Isabel and Battlement Mountain.
Trailhead: Walton Ranger Station
Distance: 16.9 miles
Level: Moderate
Altitude change: 1,915 feet

Scalplock Lookout
Panoramic views from above the town of Essex.
Trailhead: Izaak Walton Ranger Station

Firebrand Pass-Ole Lake
Round-about walk to Old Creek Valley. Scenic.
Trailhead: Site of Old Lubeck Ranger Station.
Distance: 7.7 miles
Level: Moderately strenuous.
Altitude change: Gain 2,210 feet. Lose 2,680 feet.
