Olympic National Forest
Hiking

The Olympic National Forest contains some of the most awe-inspiring scenery in America. Giant trees, rugged mountains, rushing rivers, cascading waterfalls, lush rain forests and panoramic vistas await the visitor. The following hikes provide opportunities to experience first-hand the many splendors of the Olympic.

Many of these hikes are relatively short, taking less than four hours to complete. The hikes vary in difficulty from easy to more difficult. The hikes are on developed trails, but sturdy walking shoes are advised, since some portions of the trails may be rough.

Lower South Fork - Skokomish Trail #873 . . . A wonderful trail paralleling South Fork Skokomish River -- good chance to see elk
