Sinks: This is a good snow play area when snow is settled. There will be some parking problems until a permanent lot can be provided. Park only where allowed along or across from the highway.

Tony Grove: A fun family snow play area with limited off highway parking.

Cowley Canyon: This area is fun in its own right and provides excellent jumping off points to Hardware Ranch, Monte Cristo and Round Valley.

Hardware Ranch-Groomed Trail: A 63-mile loop is groomed by Utah Division of Parks and Recreation from Hardware Ranch, across Ant Flat, through Monte Cristo north, through Curtis Creek and return. All snowmobile traffic must stay on the roads south and east of elk-feeding areas and the visitor center.

Monte Cristo-Groomed Trail: A large trailhead parking lot and rest rooms are maintained by Utah Parks and Recreation one mile above the old Big Horn Cafe. Snowmobilers can proceed up U-39 to Monte Cristo campground where the U.S. Forest Service maintains rest rooms. CAUTION: Obey all private land warnings.

Mantua: Utah Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with the City of Mantua, provides a trailhead, rest rooms and parking south of the new L.D.S. chapel. This area offers several trails and snow areas. Obey private land warnings.

For local information contact: U.S. Forest Service, 21 W. Center St., Logan, Utah. Also contact State Parks and Recreation Ranger at Hyrum State Park or Bear Lake State Park.
