Ponderosa Pine Plantation - Along the South Fork of Mink Creek. An introduced stand of Ponderosa Pine which was planted in the 1930's, is now reproducing naturally. This area is a favorite undeveloped campsite for many recreationists.

Cherry Spring Nature Area - Located 5 miles southeast of Pocatello. A riparian nature study area with a nature trail. Over 140 species of birds have been identified at Cherry Springs.
