Access: The trailhead begins on the Mosquito Ridge Road, approximately 2.3 miles above the "Circle Bridge."

Trail Description: This trail is in good repair but is very steep in places with many switchbacks, as it winds its way down to the Middle Fork of the American River. Good fishing is available at times and adequate campsites can be found on the large gravel bars along the river.
