Access: Drive thirteen miles east of Foresthill on the Foresthill Road to Forest Highway 66 (Humbug Ridge Road). Go north three miles to the trailhead, just off Humbug Ridge Road.

Trail Description: This is an old trail which was used by miners to reach the American River. It is steep, with numerous switch backs. The trail ends at the river, but it is possible to travel upriver and down river by scrambling along the riverbanks.
