Mendocino National Forest
Campgrounds
There are many camping opportunities throughout the Forest, ranging from fully developed campgrounds to secluded sites with few or no facilities. Forest campgrounds are operated on a first-come first-served basis. Some campgrounds require fees that partially pay for their operation and upkeep. Information regarding the payment of fees is posted at campground entrances. Check the bulletin board at the campground you occupy for information, special events and regulations. Many campgrounds are open year-round, but high elevation areas are only open after the snow melts. The more popular campgrounds have a 14-day camping limit.
