Grand Teton National Park
Wyoming

You will have no trouble finding a signature experience or two in this national park, located just south of Yellowstone. With the picturesque jagged peaks of the Teton Range as a backdrop, any visitor is quickly immersed in a hikers' and climbers' paradise. You can hike the exquisite six-mile Jenny Lake Trail, or be a bit more adventurous and backpack along the Teton Crest. For the really hard-core, hooking up with a climbing outfit and scaling Mount Moran's classic South Buttress is a must. But others will have no trouble finding something to soothe the outdoor soul: Paddlers, wildlife watchers, and anglers will all find incomparable pleasures along the Snake River, and bikers can cruise along the Teton Park Road for a memorable ride. Whether young or old, you will find more than enough to mark this as a "can't-miss" park.
