Amenities

  • Redwood Regional Park: Water, restrooms, telephone, and parking at Skyline and Redwood gates. Group picnic reservations: (510) 636-1684. Youth group camping only, by reservation: (510) 562-2267 (CAMP).
  • Anthony Chabot Regional Park MacDonald Staging Area: Restrooms and parking. Bort Meadow: Water, restrooms, picnicking, and large group camping (up to 500) by reservation: (510) 562-2267. Bort Meadow Staging Area: Parking.

Getting There

By Car
North entrance, Skyline Gate: From Hwy. 24 take Fish Ranch Rd. exit, turn left onto Grizzly Peak Blvd., which leads onto Skyline Blvd. After passing Shepherd Canyon Rd., go 0.1 mile to Skyline Gate and parking on east side of Skyline Blvd.

South entrance, Bort Meadow Staging Area, also marked Big Trees: From Hwy. 13 in Oakland, take Redwood Rd. northeast through Redwood Regional Park. At the Pinehurst Road junction, veer east and continue on Redwood Road for 2 miles to Bort Meadow Staging Area on south side of road.

By Bus
AC Transit bus 46 to Skyline Blvd. at Roberts Recreation Area, weekends only.
