Rumor has it there's a natural hot spring around here along the Colorado River, but you have to climb down a steep embankment to reach it and it's completely unmarked. It's definitely worth a shot, though. If you can't find it, there's always fishing — this stretch of the Colorado is clear and unsullied, offering good prospects for rainbow trout. For those who enjoy rock climbing, outcroppings in the area present challenging opportunities for bouldering and climbing. Limited hunting is permitted.

Location: Southwest of Kremmling.

Directions: From Kremmling, drive two and a half miles south on Highway 9 and turn right on County Road 1 (Trough Road). Continue twelve miles southwest to the property entrance.

Campsites, facilities: Dispersed camping is permitted throughout the property. Vault toilets are provided, but there are no other facilities. Leashed pets are permitted. The elevation is 7,500 feet.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted and there is no fee. Radium State is open year-round.
