Climb a fourteener! The high peaks are within your reach. Trek to the top of Mount Evans or Pikes Peak, two of Colorado's finest challenges. The air is thinner, the views are better, and the effort is worth it.
Take a scenic dive on the Peak-to-Peak Highway toward Brainard Lake for some outstanding trekking in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The area is rich in history and natural beauty. Wildflowers shower color onto the surrounding hills and meadows from spring to late summer.
Get away from the city with these Denver Weekend Backpacks. The Rockies, the Flatirons, and the Front Range all compete for your attention from the Mile High City.
Dayhike to your heart's content in Rocky Mountain National Park. Most of the trails in RMNP are less than ten miles long, and many are under five. Whether you're out to conquer a fourteener or desire a more leisurely stroll, the park is always a great place to go for a walk.
Dog-lovers are a common sight in the Rockies and the local communtities are sympathetic to the needs of your pooch. Check out the dog walks in Boulder and the canine comforts in Denver for hassle-free hiking with your best friend.
