Lake Trafford

A 1,500-acre natural body of water with an excellent sport fishery consisting of largemouth bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. One entry point is at Lake Trafford Marina, Lake Trafford Road off SR 29 near Immokalee. Hydrilla patches make for good bass fishing, particularly in the early spring when the females are bedding. Live shiners are good, as are plastic worms and weedless spoons. Trafford is also an excellent choice for redear sunfish (shellcrackers) during the late spring bedding periods. Worms are good bait for bream.
