Ann Marie Brown has lived in and explored the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years. A hiker extraordinaire, she has logged more than 10,000 miles exclusively on California trails. When she isn't on the summit of Mount Whitney or Half Dome, she can be found at her coastside home counting whale spouts instead of working. Ann Marie is the author of eight books on the California outdoors, all published by Foghorn Press. Her titles include: 101 Great Hikes of the San Francisco Bay Area, California Waterfalls, California Hiking, Day-Hiking California's National Parks, Easy Hiking in Northern California, and Easy Biking in Northern California.
