When to Go
The cool weather and sunny days of autumn are a great time to explore this slice of Quibec. Its northerly location also makes it one of the first places to see the glorious colors of fall. October makes for clear, crisp days of great hiking, fewer crowds, spectacular fall colors, and no nuisance insects.
Spring finds the migratory birds at their peak, while summer is good for the resident breeding birds. June and July are the best months for whale-watching. Biting insects are at their peak in June and July but relief can often be found close to the sea, where breezes are prevalent.
