I travel all the time, though I devoutly wish I wasn't using carbon-powered jets. I'm in favor of tourism  I think that tourists tend to bring wealth and stability wherever they go, and while it can be a serious drag to have your country turned into a shrink-wrapped parody of itself, it's a very nice thing to be able to travel to someone else's country, and not have them rob you, cut your throat or jail you. People live in the world and they ought to look at it. They should seriously ponder what's happening to it during their brief sojourn on its surface. You're a better and broader human being when you've seen the world, and you have some grasp of how very various and poetically funny the great round world can be.
