Steve Howe Biography

Climber, skier, backpacker, canyoneer, and kayaker Steve Howe has 28 years of gear testing experience as a retail buyer, magazine writer, photographer, and videographer. Among other misadventures he has climbed Denali twice, telemarked off the 21,900-foot summit of Huascaran Norte, and traveled solo for six weeks on Alaska’s North Slope. He owns Redrock Adventure Guides, a custom backpacking and canyoneering service, in Torrey, southern Utah.
