Salewa have been making waves in the outdoor gear scene in Europe—and their native Italy—for years, and last season they introduced their footwear line to the U.S. market. Spring 2013 will see more of that, and we’re particularly intrigued by the MS Wildfire GTX trail shoe. The anatomical last is pressure-welded to obviate any need for stitching or glue, with an EXA shell technology to provide the shoe’s structure, lightness, and durability. Ballistic mesh uppers and a Gore-Tex lining keep your feet breathable and waterproof. And of course they come with Salewa’s notable promise of no blisters, right of the box. We’ll be putting that to the test when we get our first pair this fall.
