MSR didn't need to do much to improve the reputation of its XGK Expedition Stove. Indeed, its versatility has made the XGK a must-have on expeditions that breach high altitudes and extreme temperatures. However, this year's model addresses one oft-voiced criticism—that the fuel lines can eventually break down after years of reliable use—by equipping the new model with a flex-fuel line, adding durability and allowing the stove to pack smaller than ever before. New retractable legs and pot supports also put any stability questions to rest.
