A rambling, beautifully wooded 900-acre property, Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort's emphasis is—as the name implies—on its 72 holes of championship golf. But for families, the Loch Ness Monster Pool and landscaped aqua park are the heart of the resort. Two sand beaches, a bubbly plunge pool, fountains, two winding water slides, a huge 36-seater whirlpool, and a poolside café give kids ample reason to stay and play all day.

The resort's 600-plus condo-style suites, most with a view of the fairways, let families sprawl out in comfort, while a resort shuttle makes it convenient for families to park and get chauffeured around starting the moment they arrive.

Why Families Love It:
Along with championship golf, the resort has mini-golf, a nature boardwalk, a playground, bike trails, and lake fishing. When children check in, they receive a tote bag full of games, a postcard kit, and a hat; infants (or at least their parents) get their own amenity kits complete with childproofing and care supplies, plus a rubber ducky.

The newly revamped Westin Kids Club program, available during the summer and upon group request, entertains kids aged five to 12 at Loch Ness. Morning sessions, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., cost $45 and include a snack and lunch, the 1-to-5 p.m. session also costs $45 and includes ice cream. The full-day program costs $75 each.

Special Activities & Events:
During summer and holiday periods, junior tennis programs get kids ages six to 12 in the swing of things five days a week. Beginner classes meet from 8 to 10 a.m. and cost $32 a day. For intermediates, classes run noon to 3 p.m. for $48 a day. Weekly rates are also available. The summer-only Tennis-and-Swim Day Camp, for ages 11 and up, includes personal training for $240 a week, Monday through Thursday. Golf-and-swim camps cost $350.
