Formerly the Registry Resort, this 474-room high-rise tower was rebranded as the Naples Grande Resort & Club to emphasize its golf course, the 18-hole Naples Grande five miles from the hotel. Situated at the edge of an estuary, you reach the white-sand beach by either walking along the three-quarter-mile boardwalk lush with mangroves or taking a tram. The beach butler assists you with renting umbrellas, aqua bikes, and other surf toys.

Why Families Love It:
Much of the action centers on the zero-entry Mangrove Pool with its 100-foot waterslide. Next to this pool is the Kids Center, headquarters for Camp Registry, which is welcomes ages four to 12 Tuesday through Saturday. Morning sessions run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cost $35. Afternoon sessions from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. cost $29, while all-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. cost $54. The sessions, which include lunch, often focus on teaching kids about the mangroves and the estuary's bird life.

Parents can relax at a separate pool with cabanas, the full-service spa, the nightclub, or one of the fine dining restaurants while kids watch movies (sometimes from the pool) and play games at Kids Night Out, which runs every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The $30 tab includes dinner. Weekly rates and other kids' packages are available.

Special Activities & Events:
From January through June, kid counselors offer face painting, scavenger hunts, water volleyball, bead mania, or other family activities around the pool on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The fees range from $5 to $10. Swimming, snorkeling, and scuba lessons are also available.
