Good question! One way is to anchor the stake with a rock or some other heavy item, but that might be challenging. You could use rope--attach one end to a stick, tie other to the tent, and the pull the rope taught and bury the stake/other end of the rope about three feet in the sand. That should help. They also make some sand- and snow-specific stakes like Toughstake, that could do the job at cost.
