are there any isolated fishing holes that can only be reached on foot

Hi Chris, we contacted Steven Ojai of www.flyfishingthesierra.com about your query and he offered the following suggestions. "The entire [Mineral King] area can only be fished by walking. Mineral King is the trailhead to a number of trails that access lakes and streams within the region. The fishing is generally very good with numerous Brookies and Rainbows. These are in a small 6-8 inch size. The further reaches of the trails will have Little Kern Goldens and Kern River Rainbows. The Kern River Rainbows will be 14-18" within the Kern River drainage."
